President’s Welcome

President’s Welcome

Welcome to a college built around personal attention, practical goals, and the belief that students should not have to navigate college alone.

President’s message updated June 2026

A Message to Students and Families

At QHCC, we know that starting college can be exciting, confusing, and deeply personal. Our promise is straightforward: students will find clear information, respectful guidance, and faculty who understand that every learner arrives with a different story.

Whether a student is preparing to transfer, returning to college after time away, learning academic English, or building a new career skill, the college is committed to making the next step understandable.

Why QHCC Was Founded

Quail Hill Community College was established in 2023 to provide a close-to-home option for students seeking transfer preparation, career education, English-language support, and a college environment small enough to feel personal.

What We Ask of Students

We ask students to participate actively, meet with advisors early, ask questions, and use campus resources before problems become emergencies. College success is a shared responsibility.

Looking Ahead

As QHCC grows, we will continue building programs that reflect student goals and community needs while keeping the advising relationship at the center of the college experience.

Growth will be deliberate. QHCC will add courses and services only when the college can support them with qualified instruction, dependable advising, and a clear benefit to students.

Learning Close to Home

A community college should reduce the distance between a student’s question and a useful answer. Whether a student is applying for the first time, returning after years away, or learning English for academic goals, the college’s role is to make the path visible.

A Culture of Advising

Advising is not a single appointment at QHCC. It is a habit of planning, checking, and adjusting. Students are encouraged to return to advising before registration periods, before changing programs, and whenever a course sequence becomes unclear.

A Respectful Campus

Students, families, faculty, and staff should experience QHCC as a respectful campus where questions are welcomed. Clear communication, inclusive classrooms, and dependable follow-through are part of the college’s daily work.

Partnership and Accountability

The college is accountable to students and the community it serves. QHCC reviews student feedback, course demand, service questions, and partner input so growth remains connected to real needs rather than assumptions.

A Commitment to Teaching

Faculty are expected to set clear standards, provide useful feedback, and connect students with support early. Strong teaching and personal attention remain the foundation of the college experience.

Community Partnerships

The college works with families, schools, employers, community organizations, and transfer partners to understand regional needs and create practical opportunities for students.

Message Themes

The president’s message is reflected in the way students interact with the college.
